My PC is knackered, and I think it's time to put it down for good soon, rather than upgrading and reinstalling.

So, when I get some money (from birthday, pocket money, dinner money etc), I'm gonna get myself a new system.

Here's what I'm thinking of so far:

CPU - http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(13999)AMD-CPU-AM2-Athlon-64-Dual-Core-4200-Retail.aspx
Motherboard - http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(16007)Asus-M2R32MVP-AM2-CrossFire-GF6150-dual-PCIE.aspx
RAM - http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(14385)OCZ-2GB-Kit-2x1024-Special-Operation-Edition.aspx
GFX Card - http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(21593)Sapphire-ATi-Radeon-HD-2600-PRO-512MB-DDR3.aspx

Of course I'll need a new PSU, a new case and maybe some new HDDs but those aren't as important.

just looked at that pc your thinking of getting look good just a few comments:

1. the motherboard is the p5n32-e sli not the p5n32-e sli plus there isn't much difference spec wise but the plus has had all the capacitors replaced with a newer design (because of some durability problem as i recall).

2. youll still need a sound card as the onboard sound inst very good. (if your wonering why i know i have an asus p5n32-d sli plus mobo which i really like but the onboard sound is aweful)

3.unless your gonna put vista 64-bit on this pc youll only get about 2.5gb of system ram (32-bit systems can only support a max of 4gb in total including graphics memory (which it has 1gb)

4. it doesnt specify what the ram is (make and model) so it might not be great.

5.the g cards are really aweful see here even 2 of them in sli is only gonna be aquiverlent to a 6800 ultra (see below)

taking that into consideration, i'm still going to get it though with less expectations.

i'm gonna stick vista x64 on, hopefully there will be more support for stuff than the last time i tried. i'll prolly use my current soundcard, though i may have trouble getting drivers (its a creative soundblaster live from yonks ago). as for the gfx cards, each ones about as powerful as my current card, and i can always upgrade them when i get more money (same for the RAM aswell).

if the gfx cards are too shit, i'll just use my current one n flog the 8500s.
