Well if nobody minds me saying how gutted i was with the way valve done the supposed half life source conversion, this baby comes along!!!
http://www.blackmesasource.com/
By far the best looking HL2 mod on the go, the levels look true to the original, the atmosphere and lighting top notch, and some ( and you notice i say some ) of the props and characters are looking great, not to mention the music!!!
Very promising overall, and personally can't wait to play it, will be in closed beta stages this year we hope.
But on the same note, kinda pissed that with myself and other members of the clan we could start something just as special ( hehehehe, hush hush ) .
I second that notion, any excuse to play hl1 is a good one imho.
Mini Mods ftw!

Looks awesome, last time I looked at this mod was ages ago and there was hardly anything there, so I'm glad to see it's progressed. Definately gonna give it a try.

Yeah, looking forward to this bad boy. I never ever did play Half Life through. I was contemplating the HL Source version, but I'm waiting for this now.

sweeeeeeet
HL being my favourite game ever, this mod is the most anticipated for me.
I too was let down by HL:Source. Which is why I can't wait to get my hands on this. I just hope it doesn't cost too much.
If the rumours about Blueshift and Opposing Force are true I mite need to change my pants. :o

Hey mad1, good to see ya.
I thought it was a fan created mod, so therefore free.
I'm also looking forward to this as I didn't play the original Half Life. Well, I played it for like an hour while my internet was screwed and I couldn't play the original Dod, but as soon as my connection was sorted, I closed Half Life and didn't go back.
Having played Half Life 2, ep1, and ep2, i'm really looking forward to playing games like Tarantino writes stories.
Well take a look at Garys mod that was user created and for a time it was free, but now it costs $10 on steam.
We can but hope it costs nothing but as I'm such a big fan of HL I wouldn't mind paying.

it better be free or i'll open up a can of woop ass on there behinds!!!, i'm sure it will stay free if it ever gets released, i'm tempted to join the mod team if they'd take me to whip this baby out asap, oh by the way, good to see you mad1, wicked games last night m8y, sorry i missed you on teamspeak earlier..

Yeah, but Garys Mod became so popular that they could demand a fee. The majority of people who make mods do so to help them into the games industry. Also, the implications of charging for it would surely enrage Valve.
